Bad Foma 100 120 09256 - finally a word from FOMA

here's the letter Mrs. Dana Hojna from Foma did sent to me today. Well, that's just an apology - they didn't find any problem with their own samples, so the effect is called "sporadic". I wish it were so

Dear Dr. Kulikov,
we are referring to your information about your last experience with our b/w
film FOMAPAN 100 120, the em. No. 09256 2.
We approach very seriously to all remarks from our clients, so we made some
test to check the films you mentioned and compare it with the materials in
our filing cabinet.
In this relation I would like to apologize for my late answer. Thank you for
your understanding.
After the checking we would like to inform you that our Quality
Control-Checking Department use appoitments test methods usually used for
this reason for discovery defects on materials.
This system didn´t show us defect you remarked, because of very low
frequency of this kind of defects. This defect is very sporadic and local,
so in standard appointed control system was not found.
We thicked our controll as prevention - we will make a more checking, which
could find similar defects.

We belive that this trouble don´t cause your distrust to our products and
you will use FOMA BOHEMIA products in future.

Additional to this reply, we can report that in de randomn check of our Fomapan 120 rolfilm stock batch 09256-(7), we found no defects in the film.

A few 120 rolfilms left from batch 09256-(10) we put away because this stock was almost gone to zero. We had no reclamations about these films sold so far.

Hopefully this problem is occured in very limited quantities of film.
