Backup systems - correct dating of image and scan files

Thanks. I took out most of the folders I showed before and got down the backup add to 1.2gb. I think that's coming from an Outlook folder that would contain email and contacts that change all the time. So I'm keeping that in the backup list. The Documents folder has a lot of sub-document folders that might not be necessary. It depends on how you set it up. That's it for now. I have Chrome favorites. I'm looking for it for you.

I have transferred bookmarks from IE to Chrome to others by using each their browser's app to copy them. from one browser to another Somehow, it knows where they are.

If it doesn't install check if your Win 10 is up to date with Start | Settings | Update and Security.
I have read that some users have problems running SyncToy 2.1 (the last version) when the .NET 3.5 library is not installed.

I use SyncToy 2.1 for backing up all the data files from my Win 10 PC to an external USB disk at the end of each day (currently about 270 GB). After the first backup, which can last quite long, it can be set to copy only new and changed files, which is a matter of a few minutes. I'm already doing this for several years and it works flawlessly.

My main computer js a Mac so I can't help with your primary issue.

On the other hand, if your image files are getting new dates with your backup, most EXIF-tool utilities have an option to restore the creation date and/or modification date with the date included with the files EXIF information.

Thanks Billy. I tried downloading twice., Once I think I clicked a bad button because an unwanted download resulted. Each other attempt (from other sites) insists on .NET download, which I remember from the past. The SyncToy installer, however, seems to be looking for an antique version of .NET and won't progress. I'll keep trying because what you are doing is what I'd rather do than the Notion cloud backup.

Ahhh... hidden files... I wonder why they make them so secret.

Apparently I'm not backing up those, or my Outlook phonebook. Both very important to me. This discussion has been fascinating!
