Backpack for Sinar F

Hi,

I'm looking for a backpack, that will hold:

• Sinar F rear and front standards, rail, clamp and two bellows
• Two lenses on boards - 150 and 90 mm
• Ten film holders
• Sinar focusing binocular magnifier
• Lightmeter, films, loupe, etc
• Systematic tripod with head attached to the backpack

Any clues what should I choose from the current offer? I saw some posts on same subject, but they referred to the models which are discontinued already, and when I look on the current product descriptions they all show possible layouts for DSLRs.

I am looking for a backpack for my F2 as well. At the moment I use my ThinkTank Airport International V2.0, which is not a backpack. The problem I have is that all the photo backpacks are not deeper than 6.5 inches. I was considering an older Lowepro AW Trekker II, but this too is only 6 inches deep. That standards are 8 inches wide. Lately I am watching Ben Horne on youtube, and he uses an Atlas backpack for his 8x10. Like the Atlas Adventure Pack. Perhaps this might be something. Although those are quite expensive.

It seems Thinktank Firstlight 40L would be OK - it is 18.5 cm deep, while standard measures 18.8 cm.

The Firstlight 40L looks promising. It is bigger and deeper than my Airport. And in the future I could fit a second lens. I really have to think about that.

I've just ordered that. As soon as it arrives I'll put my gear inside it and send outcome.

it seems surprising to carry it disassembled like that. It would take more time to setup than leaving it assembled and simply folding. it may also take less space, though I've never actually measured.

@abruzzi, that makes no difference to me. I need about 1:30 min to assemble the F2 and 1 min to disassemble it, with booth setups. When I fold it I have to take the lens board and the GG off. The way I have it now I leave them both on. YMMV

why do you have to take the lens and GG off? I never do unless the lens has a deep rear element.

Here it is. What I managed to put inside:

Sinar F both standards with 4x5 back with fresnel
Two bellows - standard and bag
Two lenses with boards
Rail and clamp
Reflex binocular
Lightmeter
Film holders
Couple of film boxes
Tripod with head - strapped to the back

and... there is a lot of space left for small stuff and not so small, as laptop.

It weights a lot, but there is very comfy wearing support.

I did not want to spend that much money. I’ve found a Lowepro pro tactic 450 AW V1 on eBay. The back is 19.8 deep and almost as large as my TT Airport. I’ll send an image as soon as I have it.

How are the reflex binoculars? Are they worth it ? I was thinking of getting one of those.
