I just received the new film today so when I can I’ll share what I see.Looking forward to someone who's developed both the alpha version and the final product telling us about the difference!
Beleive that was the one pointing at the video. if you did not get it, you PROBABLY should make sure that you use the "contact us" on there web site to ensure your information is up to date in their Data base.
You seem to be quite down about it all. Perhaps you can give us some useful insights in how things can be changed for the better?
I would like more frequent updates, but perhaps there is just nothing substantial to say.
We need to remember the kind of open-ness Film Ferrania has shown is uncanny in the photography buisness, if any business at all. I think we should cherish the people for that. I am glad to have them on Apug.
I, quite frankly, have not been happy with my P30 results from the lab. I recently started to develop b/w myself and got some silvermax developer, has anybody gotten good results with this and P30?
They would have the 127 market all to themselves if they did. After a little bashing of my own over this project, I just scored 2 rolls of FP30 from a dealer in Poland. Apparently they requested 50 rolls, received some 20+ instead and they sold out just like that. No idea what this film is, but I still hope it will continue in the direction of sustainable production and move into 120 as well. And 127?
Yeah, agree. They would have the 127 market all to themselves if they did.
Regarding the E6 film they are still working on, they might consider doing a really slow, high resolution one, like 64 or 25.
Speedy slide is hard to do, so if they want to differentiate, they might consider slow and fine.
Would go well with P30.
Buying at such a premium for handrolled 127, I'd rather set up my own jig and have many film choices. Manufactured 127 is another matter. At $10 per roll would be OK if they could do the 12 shot rolls like for the Baby Rollei. There is 127 film available but I believe it is hand rolled by some dude in Japan cut down from larger format Ilford HP5+
As such it doesn't come cheap and Ferrania may well be able to undercut the hand rolled 127 if they can achieve in-house production. My understanding is that they're working on full in house production of 135 and then 120 first.
I'd buy the occasional roll of 127 film if it were under £10 a pop. I have two little, basic 127 cameras but it's fun to use them. I'd also definitely be on the lookout for a baby Rollei if they can bring back 127.;
Yup, I agree.the saga continues!
Ferrania latest Video is up. apology for missing there targets.
at least they are managing to sell some B&W film.
I can feel the poor dude, I'm in the same situation with my company and it looks like a tough couple months coming
Stay well. I've been considering driving across to say hello some time. I now look forward to it as a real treat, once this is over.I had to make the decision yesterday, to close my shop and minilab (until the end of March at least), stop all online orders etc and put staff on temporary layoff with no pay. Not one of the best days in my career.

Very sad to hear that, but you've got to look after yourself and (long term) your business. I imagine various parts of the world are really suffering in terms of customers actually visiting shops. England isn't quite like that yet but the time will come...and we'll all be out and about less photographing things.
I hope the whole team stays safe, its probably the best thing they can do right now is to stay home.if it was not for Bad Luck, the folks at Ferrania would not have any luck at all.
the CEO posted today that he is stuck in his apartment due to the Clamp Down in Northern Italy over the COVID-19 Virus.
the poor lad looks tired in the video.
