Hey, just received my copy of B&W and there is an article about APUG with interview with Sean and pictures from several members. Congratulations to you all. Nice.

I wasn't sure when it was coming out. I requested several revisions and am not sure if they actioned them so will be reading it with one eye open. If anyone could be kind enough to send me a scan of the text I'd really appreciate it  sean@apug.org

Way to go Sean :D Congratulations to yourself and many thanks for all your hard work. Hope you have a great Christmas and get some time with the family for a change!

If I can find it I'll grab an extra copy and mail it to you if you want.

Ditto here in Texas jim....

My copy arrived yesterday. I'm right in the middle of Missouri.

I checked at Borders yesterday & they still had last months issue.

I have to go to the post office so I will stop by Barnes & Noble and Hastings to see if they have it yet--don't forget Aggie's advice from a previous thread: if they don't have it out yet ask someone to check the back for a box!

No, that is here in Hawaii. The magazines have to come by boat you know. I imagine that it will be sometime next month before it shows up. I'm still waiting on the latest LensWork.

What's on the cover?
(It'll make it easier to spot in the periodical racks.)

They say they are sending me a copy, but it could be a while since it has to find it's way to NZ..

I was wondering the same thing, so I checked their website. It seems that they had to reprint the latest issue due to poor quality in the first run. The website says that they should ship mid-December.

Texas,Hawaii and Pennsylvania-I guess those of us on the edge of this country and those beyond(Sean)have to place our faith in the worlds postal systems.Well being that it's the busiest time for mail in the US(and possibly elsewhere)I'm looking forward to my January issue by Valentine's Day

I hope the NZ post works quickly; I just purchased a book from a photographer in Wanaka, Gilbert van Reenen, titled "Central Otago". He said that he mailed it last Wednesday (US time). I ordered a second copy for my friend in NZ and she says it is just great. If anyone is interested in this book, I would call Gibert quickly. He is about to run out of the first printing, and the second printing isn't due until Feb.

Good Afternoon,

Issue 35 arrived in southern Illinois a couple of days ago; my copy, however, is labeled February, 2005.

Not in NYC yet. I tried two places and one was out, and the other had a stack of the December issue with the Sylvia Plachy cover story.

I did pick up the latest (to us) _B&W_ (UK)--November.

I got mine in the mail today. It's a very timely and well written article and Sean's remarks about digital imaging are deft and diplomatic. Congratulations to those of you whose photographs are included....they're soooo much better viewed on the page than on a monitor...the actual prints must be dazzling! I can't help but assume that bandwidth will be sorely taxed as readers gradually get their copies and log on. Hello all you newbies!!

here's pdf for ya'll...

I scanned this for you unfortunates...not great (the scanning) but a six page article is very nice. The images are excellent and nice to see other than on the web. Congrats Sean et al. Enjoy (if I uploaded this right...)

Matt

Thanks for the scan... I can't wait to finally see it in person! And once again, congrats to everyone featured in the issue, it looks great from what I can see.

Thanks for the scan! Unfortunately I can see they did not revise many parts I requested them to, but oh well, I guess this is how these things go. Looks like when you get into the media things get beyond your control and you just have to go along for the ride..

Apologies to John, I see they got his surname wrong. I did put in a request for that to be corrected

Congrats Sean! And welcome to the life in the media

Now you know how it works. In several interviews I have had (in the dim past) they carefully choose the words I would not and print what they like for their own purposes. So good luck next time - oh yes there will certainly be a next time now! Quoting out-of-context is not a crime, exactly.

Hope to read the article soon,
