b+w scanning issue with V700?

I've used this scanner tons of times before but tried to scan some black and white film tonight and can't figure it out for the life of me. Normally, when using preview the the film is inverted to look the right way. Tonight when I'm trying to scanning, it won't invert and I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Help please?!

If you are using EpsonScan:

- set scan mode to professional
- set document type to film
- select film type to b&w negative
- save the current settings so you can recall them for future scanning sessions
