Any experience with this 105mm circular polarizer? Just received it and it's super tight. Can hardly spin the thing. Will it loosen up?

Never use WD 40 as a lubricant. It will eventually set up like glue. It is fine for breaking rusty nuts free but I wouldn't use it for anything else. Try TriFlow. It is a synthetic lube that works wonders. A small bottle goes a long way. Most bicycle shops carry it.

I decided to return it for a replacement. I called Schneider optics and they told me it should not be tight.

Cheers

Well the replacement arrived and it was also tight. Not as bad as the first one buy way too tight to be useable. They must use some lube that dissipates over time, I don't know. I put some CRC 6-56 on the end of a q-tip and put the tiniest amount in there and it freed it up. Case closed.
