Provia gives a slightly warmer look, which some people prefer, but of course you can use a warming filter with Ektachrome if you wish, but that reduces the effective ISO to perhaps 64.

This is news to me. Are you seeing any exposure problems when using a warming filter?

I have no experience of using a warming filter, but on the Tiffen web page for the 81A warming filter it says:

"The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.3-stop increase in exposure for normal results."

So perhaps I should have estimated ISO80, not ISO64 for Ektachrome + 81A filter.

The compensation amount is only of importance in critical applications, and even then it can be a moot point. There is no need at all to sweat about compensation or ISO/EI shift with modern cameras – matrix, evaluative, CWA, partial, etc., all work fine, but you may consider bracketing with a hand-held meter. It is really no worse than a Skylight 1B filter.

Thanks for the heads up. Their order limit is 4 rolls and they ship to the US. Total was 96 euros for 4 rolls including shipping, which is about $28 per roll shipped. I had to use PayPal in conjunction with a no-fee card for foreign currency.

I fear you will have to pay an import tariff, hopefully only 15% as it's from the EU.

I've asked that company when (or whether) they will have Provia in stock!

That's okay, I'm curious to see what happens regarding all the shipping uncertainty. If it goes okay it will give me more confidence to continue buying from the EU. It's still a way better price than we can get it here.

Provia 100f in 120 size is available to order on amazon.it at €95 for a box of 5, or €175 for two boxes, €6 shipping in EU. Still too expensive for me, I'll wait for the usual sources, but anyone desperate for Provia 120 size might want to order it?

Not a direct Amazon sale but rather a 3rd party seller listing - some 'Photostock' store, with appalling reviews.. Buyer beware

For those thinking of buying Fujifilm from Australian suppliers — you're out of luck.

Orders of anything valued at or<AUD0$150 are not shipped by Australia Post to the USA due to tariffs; AusPost hopes to come up with something about this in the future and reinstate deliveries, but for now, it has stopped all parcels to the USA with a value of <AUD$150.

It is not just photographers who can feel aggrieved, but a vast number of industries that rely on the delivery of parcels to the USA.

Fantastic. Thanks for the heads up. Just placed an order for a few Velvia 100 35mm rolls, E6 Bellini development kit and a bunch of brown bottles from Nordfoto.

Update: I ordered some 120 size Velia 50 from Amazon.it, but it was immediately cancelled by the Seller.. I then noticed this was "Photostock" which has TERRIBLE ratings!

There have been other offerings ... not right now ... for Fuji Provia and Velvia on European Amazon sites recently, but they have been from "The Fujifilm Store", for example last month I got 2 Provia 100f 35mm films from Amazon.co.uk for €43 (free delivery on Prime).
