Details for Michael A. Smith's AZO Workshop has been added and is available (there was a url link here which no longer exists) or through the conference (there was a url link here which no longer exists) .

This Workshop is not limited to just those who wish to learn how to print on AZO, but for anyone interested in improving their darkroom skills. I have been told that as a pure nuts and bolts darkroom workshop this one can not be beat. Michael has acquired a lot of experience over the years and has no inhibitions about sharing his knowledge (see the quote below).

An exciting side note: Michael has told me that by the time of the workshop he believes there will be another silver chloride contact printing paper besides AZO available. -- Stay Tuned!

Here is what Michael says about their workshops:
Michael A. Smith said:
Our objective is to help you develop your visual and creative skills and give you the tools to make the best photographs you possibly can. We will try to teach you everything we know about the fine art of black and white photography, both visually and technically. We have no secrets.

You can also visit their website for more information

Please Note:
In the interest of insuring that the Instructors get their pound of flesh (frankly it is more like table scraps) and to get you folks motivated to sign up early. We will be raising the price of all Workshops in October. So, as my father would say Do it NOW.

With the demise of Azo is the MAS workshop still going ahead? Presuming that it is, will he have paper available for sale at the conference?

I thought I saw Bob Carnie was going to be giving a workshop on Ilfochrome printing, but now I can't see any reference to it. Was I imagining things?

At this moment there is an AZO replacement waiting to be commissioned. The Workshop is about half full and will be going on.

Bob's Ifochrome, and the Colour class are in limbo. Neither Bob nor I will probably have the time. The handful of sign-ups will be refunded or if we decide to the classes will be reinstated.

Bob's Ifochrome, and the Colour class were two of the classes I was most interested in. Is it time or bodies that are lacking?

Our time . Bob was giving the Ifochrome and he and I were going to do colour. Let the dust settle and we'll see whats up.
