Saturday was a real wash out... but Sunday was fantastic. It seems to me like we just get extreme weather conditions at APUG gatherings.
It was great to meet fellow mates again ... I had a great a week-end.... looking forward to developing the prrrrecious.

Had a fab weekend - its so nice just to spend time talking photography and seeing other peoples work

Did anyone else hang around - the light in Snowdonia on Monday afternoon was just fabulous

Whether I managed to catch any of it on a half decent neg is another matter

I now have over 100 sheets of film to develop - it will keep me going for months

Barry, I am not sure impressed is the right word to describe how I felt when I counted up

Overwhelmed is closed to the mark

I can do 5 sheets an hour at best - so thats at least a minimum of 20 hrs in the darkroom just developing film.

On a positive note, it gets dark earlier this time of year, so I can start at a better time than when I was doing it mid summer and couldn't start until 10 PM and had to be finished by 4AM
One of the pleassures of not having a sufficiently dark darkroom to process film in

I thought I should log on and say thank you to all that attended for your excellent company, and conversation altogether a very enjoyable, for me last APUG weekend. Now all I have to do is to make time to develop my films that surely contain many masterpieces.

How did you get on (photo-wise), what location(s) did you get to and what did you think of the place?

Well, Saturday was a washout as you know, although Neil and I managed a tour of most of the island I think, apart from the area everyone else went to . A few locations were noted for any return visit. Sunday saw us at Parys Mountain, a quite extraordinary place. A vast abandoned open-cast copper mine, perfect for using up a bit of Velvia on multicoloured rocks against a deep blue sky. Shame I had to leave just after lunch as it had turned into a nice fine day, but the subsequent week on the Dorset coast made up for it.

Let's just say I dabble in a bit of back hand Tenterhook dealings. I can get you some if you're interested Frank - they're the best quality and from a reliable source - none of you're cheap imitations here. Just let me know. Don't tell everyone though or they'll be queueing down the street.

Nah: the Chinese have flooded the market with cheap nickel-plated tenterhooks - not a patch on craftsman made stainless-steel ones from The Netherlands....

I was using the moonbolt set first but had a problem hooking the bolts in the moon because of the soft surface of the moon.
I tried coating the moon to make it harder but that did not work, the bolts kept slipping and I was getting complaints from NASA for scratching the moon.
also you need longer chains with the moonbolts, I can hook the skyhooks anywhere I want.
a great product. I hope we dont run out of sky in the future. Until that happens I will keep on using my skyhook set.
