An email just reminded me that I will not be able to attend this meeting after all: pressure of work etc: usual stuff... Even more annoying as I was going up to Cumbria afterwards and I've had to cancel that too...

Ho hum...

Have fun folks!

Is anyone driving up from London in afternoon on the 2nd?

Public transportation options are not looking all that attractive...

Check out National Express coaches, sometimes they sell seats very cheaply at the last moment. I may be travelling from Gatwick, (south of London) to Manchester that day by coach.

Sorry to hear that, Bob.

Jury's still out for me. I'm hoping to make it, though.

It is with regret that I am going to have to back out of the Anglesey trip.

For those of you who are going to the Ilford visit, I will look forward to seeing you there. I hope you all have a fantastic time and I hope to see you in Spring.

Best

Sorry to miss you all...

Sorry every one, will miss you all - I have always enjoyed the get togethers far more than I can say really.

Do have fun and as said before - we will raise a glass to you all.

Just to reconfirm, my rooms are booked. I'll be staying in Wilmslow on Thursday evening, sharing carriage with Tony & Jean on Friday for the Ilford visit, and then, staying in Anglesey until Monday.

I can't wait to be there, and meet new faces :D

Hasta la vista, baby.

Hey, I'm new to this forum but I'll be attending the meet. Haven't sorted out my accomodation yet but I'll find something, on a bit of a tight budget being a student and all. Look forward to meeting you there!

Alyn, new faces are always most welcome

I was a new face at the spring meet and was made to feel right at home straight away

The Irish contingent have managed to book and pay for an extra room by mistake (I'll point no fingers)
Is anyone looking for somewhere to stay the night of the 2nd? If so we have a room in Knutsford Tabley Travelodge about 10 minutes from Mobberly for just £30.00 for a single room for the night.

Give me a holler if you're interested!

Guys, are we all going to bring a few prints to show ?

I'm happy to bring a few along, but I'm afraid it'll be the same tired old stuff I've brought before (not been a good summer. Sorry!)

I will pop a few in the car just in case there is time for print showing.
I hope most can bring something and we can do this as looking at work is always a good thing.

Cheers,

Neil.

Welsh weather I have found comes down vertically for minimum periods of several days

From the weather forecast this is more like Hebridean weather - where it comes at you almost horizontally

Of course just to rub salt into our wounds - it looks like Friday could be that wonderful mixture of sunshine and showers

The rest of the weekend looks like showers mixed with periods of heavy rain and with a liberal sprinkling of strong winds

Sounds like fun to me

Current Forecast

Friday - 10C, Light showers, sunny spells, wind 30mph gusting to 50mph
Saturday - 12C, Heavy rain, wind 15 mph gusting to 43 mph
Sunday - 15C, Heavy rain, wind 15 mph

Here's a webcam - Dead Link Removed

Notes to self - Bring prints, bring indoor photography kit, fire Barry from weather duty, leave umbrella, bring kite, fit snorkel...!

With all my rushing about today, I forgot my tripod. If anyone has a spare they can bring on Satrday, I'd be very grateful.
