Hi all,

What kind of options exist when it comes to medium format slide projectors. If it is able to project 135 in addition to 120 film that is convenient. In 120 I shoot mostly 6x4.5 when shooting slides.

Also - is it still possible to get frames

Cheers
Peter

If you can find a good condition Rollei P11 projector, it will project both 135 and 6x6 slides.

Basic snap-together, plastic slide mounts from Matin (Korea) are available on Ebay in 35, 6x4.5, 6x6 and 6x7.

Thanks! Does it do medium format and small format at the same time? Im assuming that would be difficult as I guess it uses two different enses for the two different formats. What I'd like to achieve is to set up a slide show consisting of black and white small format slides with color 6x4.5 medium format slides - push play and leave the room and let it continue for hours... but is this possible?

I've not looked into it; I mostly wanted to point you towards my response there that discussed automation. But I would expect that the PCP80 can also be used to project 35mm, yes.
Of course you could combine a regular Kodak carousel for 35mm with something like the PCP80 for 6x6.

Thanks @koraks - But does the PCP80 do small format?

While it might be feasible to find a single project that takes MF slide holders, it is not possible to find a projector which accepts both 135 holders and 6x6 holders at the same time, and even if you could find one, the issue is that a single FL lens would project both...so while it projects 56mm tall frame to 6' screen it would also project a 24mm tall frame to only 25.8" image height at the same projector-to-screen distance.

My father had a Bauch & Lomb 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" slide project with trays. He would sometimes crop to 35mm [35mm glass] and use his home brew mount in the slide tray, but the image was small.

The Rollei P11 projector had an optional zoom lens to switch between 35mm and medium format presentation, but I can't imagine it was intended to alternate between the two...
