Hello, i want to buy an automatic processing machine. Actually i have a filmomat light but i need more automation. I have one noritsu V30 but i will continue using it.

My idea is the more automatic possible but that i can deal with C41 (dev bleach and fix Fujihunt) and e6 (tetenal/adox 3 bath)

1. Jobo ATL1500 (2000 €)
2. Dev.A (6000 €)
3. Filmomat (5000 €
4. Osiris F1 (i'm speaking with some chinese people to get references from the machine) 1500 €

Around 30 rolls per week/session

Prices are orientative
What do you think?

I've had a Filmomat for about two years. It's great! But I'm only processing about 5 reels/week on average. Also 4/5. Using both b&w chemicals and Kodak Flexicolor for C-41.

The Jobo is a obvious choice to my taste. Problem, it's at least 30 years old. There's no way I would buy a China made processor unless the manufacturer opened Western countries support.

The Naked Photographer recently posted on a processor made in China he really likes.

Yes i have seen, but i want fuly automatic. Like ATL from Jobo or Filmomat, DEv.A. I don't want to be in front of the machine all the time the machine is working.

If you want to do sheet film consider a machine with witch you can use Jobo expert drums.

Jobo ATL 1000/1500 were a classic in labs for low volume development (B/W for 4x5" sheet film, for example). The problem is that they are old machines with no support and limited spare parts.

If you have contacted directly the remaining manufacturers, I would ask them to disclose current professional users in your country or region to have their feedback about the product.

Are you trying to batch your processing - one run of 30 rolls each week - or are you planning to develop 6 rolls per day, 5 days each week?
If the latter, having two copies of a lower capacity machine may make a lot of sense.

My idea was doing all the batch in one time, but i have several black and white, several C41 and maybe 1 slide. This is the reason i want a low volume machine. When i have a lot of C41 i turn on the V30. But for this amount of rolls it's a waste of chemichal and energy.

I think at the end i will finish buying the new Osiris from China and if it works i will buy one unit more.

I hope in the future, i can do a post about this promising machine.

It sounds like there's only a Chinese manual. Not sure that this is suitable for global market yet. Repair parts etc. Might not even be legal to sell in certain areas (codes and safety)

I'd be interested in buying it if the price were different (much lower).
Currently, the expected price is for a premium product, but there's zero information about the product or technical support from the manufacturer.
It seems the Chinese producer have withdrawn from the international market. This isn't good news.
If it breaks, will you send it to China for warranty repair?
In my opinion, buying this product portends problems at an unpredictable time. Even if the product has been on the market for nine years, the policy of most Chinese manufacturers is to test their products on buyers.
I'm not familiar with this product or its manufacturer, and I don't want to slander them.
Since they do not even try to reach customers outside of China (user manual in Chinese, promotional videos in Chinese), this further reduces my trust in them.

As far as i know, they can send to you the pieces. I know a lab in China that they have 4 and they don't have problems, or at least he said to me that. If i can get the machine at the chinese price, i will follow the buy.

Of course, I'm not discouraging you from purchasing it.
It's your decision and your money.
I'm assuming you have the technical knowledge to repair this type of device (or know someone who would), because shipping the replacement parts is just one step in the eventual repair process.

I know a lab in China that they have 4 and they don't have problems, or at least he said to me that.

That's good news, but we're still relying on the trust of people who might be profiting from it. I don't know, maybe I'm being too suspicious.

Does anybody else see in Aliexpress link that Osiris F1 it cost 112 €? Pretty crazy price...

No, this is misleading on Aliexpress. See what this price is for.
Here's a hint: color: T400 rinse tank. Click on the images in the purchase options. Also see the shipping price.

Maybe something is lost in translation here, but they are offering a machine that's functionally similar to machines that sell for 5x as much in the West.

Yes this is the reason, i'm trying to buy one to see quality

Do you consider getting another Noritsu processor?
Do you have one for sale? I have friends that want to buy one v30/v50
