Automatic home film processor

Thanks jeyes. Then it is too small for me. I will check do disassemble my Jobo and implement an additional switch that puts the pump off.
 
Yes. I can turn the temperature wheel to the minimum, but a switch is more safe. And if I have it anyway open, I will add a flowing off pipe, cause there is no.
 
Yeah, makes sense. I've used my CPE2 many times with the thermostat dialed all the way down. Works OK. It doesn't have a built-in pump; I have a small fish tank circulation pump I use with it if I do color on it. I rarely use it though.
 
It seems that both processors are designed for film only and paper is not considered. So I will be tied to Jobo for the rest of my RA-4 life...

One curiosity. I checked chemicals volume requiered in the dev.a machine and they are high for me considering it uses Jobo 1500 reels. A Jobo 1520 tank (two 120 or 35 mm rolls) requires 250 ml on rotary processing, dev.a uses 500 ml for the same ammount of film; A Jobo 1520+1530 tank (five 35 mm rolls or six 120 rolls) requires 570 ml, dev.a uses 1 liter to process six rolls of 120. With 1 liter (900 ml really) I can process ten 120 rolls or eight 35 mm rolls in a Jobo 1520+1530+1530 tank.

Where can you buy them? Do you have to order them directly from the manufacturer?
 
It looks like a really nice system, but TBH, the only drudge in the process for me is spooling up the film - particularly 120. Add a 45 min wash to the deal and I'd still have a process which is long in elapsed time, granted with precision in the element which requires precision. Personally, my next big purchase is likely to be a high-end scanner.

When I'm lazy - and for no other reason - I use stand development for my MF/LF B&W work. It allows a large part of the process to be hands off.

Best of luck with the purchase. Please let us know how it goes. Maybe I'll reconsider it at some stage.
 
DEV.a <<Problematic machine. Too bad durability. Small part damaged. Dedicated tank is rusty and not working. Part damaged. Used once a week for about a year. Critical part damaged. Customer film damaged multiple times. Compensation amount is also significant.
