Auto or Manual?

Manual until you understand how the thing works and then make a choice as to which you prefer . . . your choices or those of the electronics of the camera. Oh, and I meant a manual only camera like an Olympus OM 1 or other of that era or earlier. Bill Barber

On further reflection, it seems to me that photography is a very simple process, about the action of light on film that has been complicated by camera manufacturers needing to keep selling cameras.
