Another symptom with this hazy stuff is improper air circulation when the plates are drying. You can't put them in a box or something unless you have rigged up an airflow system.

Thanks Sean..all great info...I wonder if the above is my problem (among many)...I only have an airtight military box that is light tight I have been drying them. I have 10 plates ready to expose and want to get back to them, your post has motivated me to get back on them. I kinda got bummed out after my last couple attempts and they were all really hazy. The folks at Rockaloid said they were over exposed so that is my next attempt, try a stop less. I am curious what are you guys using to dry them in that has air circulation AND is light tight??

You have to make something...kind of a pain..I used an old 4x5 camera carrying box type of thing...drilled a big hold in the top to fit a metal dryer duct thing so I can put a fan on the other end...then drilled holes in the bottom of it....then screws to hold shelves that were open, like wire kind...but then had to build light traps in if for all openings....lmk if you have any better idea...that light tight box is your problem, the emulsion needs to dry well within the first few hours or it's toast...

That would certainly bite...I have 10 plates I need to expose from it, I will try them out and post back with results. I appreciate all the input and help, getting me motivated to work with them some more.
