Hey guys,

Sydney sider here. Got into film through dad, i was shooting all digital beforehand. He decided to remember that he had the old Nikon FE2 with a 50mm 1.4 on it and passed it onto me. Bought it new while travelling around Hong Kong so, its sorta a little family gem to me now.

But yeah, i started shooting film id say a few months now, thought it'd be a good way to teach me how to actually shoot, gain some foundation skills. Learn how to focus like a real man, compose every shot with proper thought. I fell in love with it. I guess when i picked up the 35mm, i sorta took on a different perspective, i told myself i'd just sorta capture the fun things around the people i know and love. get back to basics..

But yeah, currently have a Canon 30D, Nikon FE2, and a little Gakkenflex which died on me.

Just a few pics from the rolls i started shooting on.. uncle had a dodgey 50 buck scanner.. though i'm looking to get a better one sometime. This one does the job for now though

Hello and welcome to APUG.

"New South Welshmen"??
I have Welsh bloodlines, if it's of any use, though I'm no Tom Jones...
Anyways, APUG hugs and backslaps to another film-lover. Way to go!

Welcome from a New South Welshman, used to be a Victorian but I saw the light! A Nikon FE2 is a very good start, have you in medium format in no time.

Welcome from a Victorian who has always been a Victorian except for one year when he was a Hoosier (and appeared albeit briefly in the Hollywood movie "Rudy").
