Hi ... Has anyone purchased from KEH or David Odess? ... Any experiences worthy of mention? ... Any excellent (or otherwise) Australian suppliers to be aware of? ... I'm shopping/researching and want to do all I can to avoid an unhappy experience ...
Cheers and thanks

There is a good Hasselblad/medium format repair man in Brisbane, QLD called Eric Owen.

This is all the information I can provide regarding 'blad in Aus.

I don't know anyhing about MF, but I have noticed that "Photoco" in the Central Market (Adelaide) usually have a large range of MF gear, including Hasselblad. (They guarantee their pre-loved gear:smile:)

I got most of my Blad gear in the UK and/or via ebay - I don't know who is a good source of this stuff in Australia. You might do well to ask within the APUG classifieds. Wouldn't be surprised if someone here wants to sell a Hasselblad.
(Note that you can import into Australia most camera gear up to $1000 tax-free)

Kayell in QLD had a Hasselblad kit for $500 that sold recently.

RFF classifieds are also very good.

Camera Exchange, Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.
Lots of 'blads and bits ex pro-use/studio.
And they know their stuff. Main turning point for Melbourne pros switching/upgrading.

Also but less frequently found at, Alan Lane, of Camera Lane, Little Bourke Street (around the corner) sold 2 mint 503CX bodies (ex Estate) with 80mm T Planar lenses for $2,000 both (!).

There is a very good repair guy in Adelaide who I can highly recommend. PM me for details.

I gave him a call (thanks for your PM), and -yes- he's willing to give it a go.

He says my Zeiss Ikon Contaflex IV is just like a "baby" Hasselblad.

Great news for me.:D

David Odesss does quality work. He has repaired both lenses and body for me.
