AIC has a pretty decent permanent collection

Sojourner Truth
-Real name was Isabella Baumfree
-American slave escaped as an infant
-Taught herself photography
-Sold small albumen prints called "carte de visites " in 1860s

Heinrich Kühn -photogravure (Austria)
Charles Aubry- albumen (France)
Robert MacPherson - albumen (Scotland)

There was a bound photo album of John Talbott Donoghue sculptures collected by one of his patrons

Interesting! I had no idea Sojourner Truth was also a photographer. I wouldn't mind checking out her pictures. She definitely had a beautiful mind!
