And no wads of paper in the film chamber. May I assume that they still put the tape at the ends of the rolls? (Well, generally.)

My former Yashica mat 124 did the same as the Rollei.

I agree it's a bummer.

I now keep some elastic bands in a 135 canister in my bag, and found the Rollei 120 canisters to be VERY useful as way to securely store the exposed film even when it's HP5.
