Good News!

I rec'd an email from Martin stating that Camera 6 is now on it's way to me
 
Enthusiasm is kind of at the curb right now. But it's there. It exists. And it'll remain at the curb until absolute confirmation (either way) of the camera's fate. So while we're waiting, how 'bout a bit of comedy? This has nothing to do with our project but, so what? It's been a while since we've had something to smile about (with regards to Camera 6). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcf2CO65lf4 .
 
And I still haven't come up with an idea for 'cornerstone'. :rolleyes:
 
I had an idea for 'cornerstone' once. Way back during the spring of '09. Those were the days....
 
I figure I have until next fall to think of something...
Good thing we're not trying to shoot a roll of Kodachrome on this round, we'd never make it!

I can't believe it! That's brilliant news! And there I was getting ready for the memorial service... The chicken carcasses in the back garden were piling up too...

Marc I love that show! Thanks for the comical interlude! Flatulent_1 it took me a while to remember what exactly I had taken a picture of myself it's been that long! CdHolden don't sleep too long.. you'll be amazed how fast it will fly now.. right everyone??

I'm going to do a PM for a "show of hands" and after that I think perhaps it's best to check with the next person on the list or with me before you pop it back in the mail.. Just to be on the safe side.. We will all enjoy this exchange.. whether you like it or not!

Pcyco send me a PM with your name and address and I'll see if we can add you to the end of this round.. The camera has already done Europe but is coming back to Ireland to end it's journey.. and if you're still interested then.. we should be able to fit you in!

Camera 6 update

The camera finally arrived today

I will get my shots done within the next few days when I'll pass it on to Walter23. We're back in action folks!

Excellent news indeed.. 'Tis the season to be jolly and joyous after all!
Perhaps a pm/email with Walter23 before you pop it in the mail? I think perhaps it might just be a good idea..
 
Or me...I'm now back in Manitoba so it may be better for John to send the camera to me first. I've just sent a pm.

Oh and I think John should wear a red and white suit taking his photo.. the timing seems to lend itself to it.. and I'm feeling very festive all of a sudden!
 
Camera 6 arrived today in the mail. Go Manitoba post!!

In all honesty, opening up the box was better than any Christmas present. It was very exciting to keep pulling out stuff out of the box. I have an idea for the cornerstones theme, but I'm not sure I can do it during the holidays. If not, I have a back-up plan so I can the camera out and about soon.

The feeling of relief after a VERY long period of photographic constipation is enormous. I would not begrudge you a little extra time to get the right shot. Merry Christmas!

Just to let everyone know, the camera is on it's way to Walter (went in the mail yesterday). I apologize for having the camera so long -- trying to stay true to the theme while getting a good photo (and light) was problematic over the holidays. That being said, I liked the challenge of this exchange and hope to participate in a few more to come.
