i'm looking to get some ortho film to make enlarged negs for alt process printing and found many recommendations re: Arista APHS from Freestyle, but they have the Arista TEC 2 on clearance now (100 sheets 8x10) for $27.99... I'm not able to find much documentation on either film and am wondering if anyone here has any insight as to if there is a discernable difference between:

Arista TEC 2
http://www.freestylephoto.biz/sc_prod.php?cat_id=&pid=1196
and
Arista APHS Premium Halftone Supreme Ortho Litho Film
http://www.freestylephoto.biz/sc_prod.php?pid=1190

Thanks for any help!

reply from John at Freestyle:

Tom,

The TEC 2 is an RA process material, which means it is used in automatic roller transport processors. Not really suitable for most of us with home darkrooms. Check out www.bostick-sullivan.com for some great articles on using the APHS.

Thanks for your inquiry,

John Richardson
