Just ordered and received two more bricks. It is short dated December 2014. They are very upfront about this in the printed catalog though so it should not be a surprise.

I'm gonna miss Tri-X at half price. Always wished that they would offer it in 120 too.

I suspect it is not "going away" so much as "running out."

This was a one-time buy of surplus film, both asa 100 and 400, and they sold it out. Would be nice if they find something else. If you didn't stock up, too late.

The stock of Arista Premium has been going down for about a year now. In fact I don't think they got any more after the Kodak Bankruptcy. The 100 Disappeared at the same time as Plus-X. the 400 first ran out in the 100ft cans, The Can I intended to bulk load next month is dated 4/2014

They had 36 exp rolls for quite a while, but have been saying when it is gone, it is gone.

They DID have some 24 exposure rolls left a month or two ago, but they are probably almost gone by now. http://www.freestylephoto.biz/192244-Arista-Premium-400-ISO-35mm-x-24-exp.

Think it was more a special buy rather than surplus, I bought bricks of the stuff several times and the Expiry dates and Emulsion Numbers kept advancing for quite a while. In lock step with the 400TX I was getting at the same time.

Not a huge TriX fan. I wish they would come up with a way to repackage and discount TMX. I would be all over that one. It is up to $78 a can from BHPhoto now, but still worth it.

What else is left to re-badge? Certainly not Ilford.
Why not Double X Negative ?
But what's really is going on with Kodak products ? I can't get 120 TX at my local Henry's store chain at all. Out of production ?

It's been predicted for a long time but it looks like the era of cheap film may be finally coming to pass.

The price is tempting, but I still have a bulk roll of Tri-X from before the price hike, and I've not tapped into it yet.

It has dissapeared from their web site! Normally I have to ask Henry's Kanata a week in advance if I want more than a Token roll of HP5. They seem to only keep 2 rolls of 120 in stock.

400TX in 120 is only sold in Pro-packs, of Five rolls. CAT 115 3659 - Perhaps they are afraid it won't sell that many rolls. Self Defeating of course as I find it much easier to get my film from B&H these days.

Perhaps show the local store this page from their competition. http://www.vistek.ca/store/Film/263151/kodak-trix-400-tx-120.aspx

But you can still get 20% off all Kodak B&W products if you are into ordering from Freestyle. This includes TriX. I just ordered another 5 boxes of TMX 100 120.

25 rolls of TMX. That will keep me happy for almost two months.
