I just developed a roll of this stuff and it has a blue base! Its iso 400. Anybody know anything about this?

Yes, the blue tint comes from polyester base (120 and sheet film) . It can't be removed.

I would like to hear from anyone who has some experience with .edu Ultra or Foma. Mostly 100 but also 400. Looking more towards 120 & 4x5 sizes. I think I'm going to order some and do so speed and development testing and see. Please feel free to pm me with your feelings about it.

I've had very good results with it. Both the 100 and 400 are nice. The blue base was weird at first and the anti-halation layer stinks bad in the rinse. But other than that for $1.39 a roll? Can't beat it.

I find both the .edu Ultra and Foma 120 to be very curly compared to Kodak, Fuji and Ilford.
