Arista EDU Ultra Curling in 120 - What's the latest

I vaguely remember having issues with Arista or Arista EDU Ultra 120 film curling so bad that it was difficult to print with. Even when dried in a somewhat humid (or at least not overly dry) environment. But this was a few years ago.

What has been the recent experience with this film?

I've been shooting the arista edu 120 films for a couple years, never ever had a curling problem.

at one time it was coated on bluish base, that some folks found but that has been changed.

I've used some Arsita.Edu 120 (100 iso) to test out a couple of Rolleicords I acquired last month. Yeah, there is a pronounced curl which makes getting the film into the negative carrier a bit of a challenge.

Blue base went some time ago, but the curl problem on Foma, which arista is, was gone a few years ago now, It was bad, especialy with the 35mm, but putting it under weight when put into filing sheets and it soon straightened, out, but they did some work on it and and for at least 5 years It has had no curl

So the Arista I bought from Freestyle in November comes out blue after development and the developed film has a blue-green tint, but in the four rolls I've developed, there have been absolutely no curling issues.

When I first started using Arista EDU 120 a few years back, I had problems. Now, it's not an issue. I remember negs was so curly that I had problems inserting them into my neg pages. It's beautiful film souped in Xtol or HC-110 (B).

Those are anti-halation dyes. I think that is different than the blue tint left in the dried film that others are talking about.

All foma 120 I use, which is I believe the same film as the Arista, come out green, never seen a blue, it is the anti halation layer, and turns my Rodinal bright green, but when I develop on D76 the developer us green, just less bright

As I recall, there have been a few different "Arista" films (including the gone but lamented arista premium). I believe at one point there was both an arista.edu and an arista.edu ultra, but not sure about that. Now it's just the edu ultra from Foma.

Based on responses, it appears curl no longer an issue. From my reading, it appears to take a bit of time/rolls to hone in on the Arista.edu ultra. I didn't want to be fighting excessive curl at the same time.

Quite the opposite; this is the flattest film I've seen. The base seems thinner and less stiff that other films. Perhaps it's polyester?
