Argust Day 25

Just in case anyone is interested, today is Argust Day 25. So if you still happen to own an Argus Rangefinder, pull it out of the drawer, blow off the dust, load a roll of film, and take some pictures. The C3 and its progeny were actually one of the best selling rangefinder cameras out there and were sold for quite a long time from the 30s through the 60s..

When you get your film developed go to the Argus Collectors Site arguscg.org and post the photos you like the best.

This is a great day to enjoy your Argus Camera.

Yupper, I put a roll of FP4+ through the C-3 I bought new in 1957! The action had to fit among some other activities, but I do have some images. Just need to clean up the scans a bit and pick two to post. I usually put more from whatever roll(s) in my PBase galleries too. Think I got my money's worth out of that purchase.

Great to hear. I finished a couple of roll of Efke 25 but have not developed them yet. A couple of doctors appointments got in the way but they should be done and posted this weekend.

Not sure when my Colormatic C3 was born, I only picked it up a few weeks ago, but it seems to work pretty well. All the shutter speeds seem to be pretty good through the 1/300 second speed is pretty slow. One of these days I suppose I should clean and lube the shutter but everything else works so well I just never worry about it.
