Try a search on "argentum," and you'll turn up a few threads on these cameras, including one by someone who has a 5x7".

I've written some of my impressions about my camera in this thread: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

And I am still happy with it, 7 months down the road.

Thanks for the link, it looks very nice. The Argentum Cameras looked to be good value for money, hence my question. If I buy a 5x7, it will be for B&W work only (contact prints).

How do you get ahold of those guys? I emailed them a while back. They translated my email into hungarian (or whatever it was) and sent it back to me.
Maybe they don't want to sell to the States.

Last year when I was thinking about it they were pretty good with email. Maybe they are in the summer holiday period now?

Don't know to which address you sent the mail, but my latest communication with them (June 26th) was from argentumcamera.info[at]gmail.com. Holidays may have kept them away. The best bet is to send another mail... As far as I know, they sell cameras worldwide.
