Seems this question hasn't been asked for long while.

Do you store your digital negatives in case you wish to reprint, or do you toss them and just keep the digital files?

Part of me considers of all the transparency film and inks used to print the negs, the other part of me figures that the negs are probably not that stable anyway, and would probably need to be reprinted later if I wished to make another print.

Thoughts?

On the rare occasions I use digital/inkjet negatives, I generally use them once and then discard.
When I just started out, I stored them in a folder. I still have them. I've never used them again, so it's basically just a waste of space.

I'm a poor reference though, since my relationship with inkjet negatives is strained and unpleasant.

Good Question- I keep client digital negatives and my own for basically 1 usage- but some want them to reuse and usually within
a year and good storage it is ok.
I have found them to be very fragile and suspect to light/tannin damage when packaged.
It is so easy to make a new neg and relatively cheap when your workflow is connected so I prefer to make new ones.

Also if you are doing a process where a coating like gum or gelatin is in play you will find that after about 5 impressions or prints
they will start getting darker due to the ink of the negative being pulled off with repeat pressure.
