They seem great value for acid free boxes compared to other sites I have checked. Is there a catch?

Yes you are probably right Dave. Do you know of any good suppliers in the UK?

Peter, I would recommend the Microchamber boxes from conservationresources. Its made from better materials, and is even more affordable:
