I'm looking for a minty edition of the Arca Cube C1 GP (Geared Panning). B&H had one listed the other night for a killer deal and I thought I'd sleep on it and it was gone by morning. Lesson learned.

If you are looking to give up yours, please let me know your asking price.

$1500 for a 10 rated item. almost felt like a mistake!

I debated about one of these and couldn’t justify the price for an 8-lb camera + lens setup. Ended up with a Leofoto geared head (and tripod; Todd Korol spoke highly of the brand in a YouTube video, so I got curious).

Would love to hear your impressions once you get it and use it!

well i might have some more research to do! if i find a deal on a cube, i'm going to take it. but i'd like to get a head prior to an upcoming trip to utah in february, so i might just end up with a leofoto or alternate head if no used C1 is to be found. but if i get it i'll do my best to remember to report back.

i’ve been wanting one of these too, i have a linhof master technika and a sinar, and it can very frustrating to have a weak tripod head as the bottleneck especially when the cameras themselves have pretty precise and strong movements

understand that. i have a RRS BH-55 Ball Head and it's no slouch for sturdiness. but it's just like any other ball head, in that getting precise movements is not its speciality.

I too wanted the cube, but settled for one by Leofoto. Good luck with your search!

I found that I didn't like the lack of quick releases for the gears and the limited maximum tilt of the Arca head. I like how the geared Manfrotto head releases for quick positioning and then fine tuning with the gears.

i do like the quick release i've seen on other heads. seems like you can get your general positioning then and then fine tune after. appreciate the input!
