APUG WAP mobile browsing system updated

Well, I can't get it to work like it was a few days ago, but it is working now so I can't complain. Thanks again to all of you for helping to fix it and not giving up.

sorry to reawaken this ancient thread, but I have just started mobile browsing. I can access APUG, but not login, as per the error message that others are reporting. It says that my username or password are incorrect. What is the solution to this?

Seems it was a temporary thing IIRC. Just keep at it. I think it didn't work for a few days. Then one day it did. I have had no problems of late. Then again, mobily speaking, I have not logged off.

Third day running, no login. I can only access as "guest". Help anyone?

Tom, I re-read everything. I saw nothing where anyone who had login problems had it resolved. What phone are you using? Are you going to the .com or the .wap site? Login is the same either way. Just some folks have issue with personlized access it seems.

Hi Chris,
I'm using a Samsung Hype... not the greatest phone in the world, but it allows access to youtube, Facebook, and numerous mail servers. As noted earlier, I can access the site fine, but cannot login. My name and password are correct, but I get the message that one or both are incorrect. I am using the .wap site, and have tried the .mobi version as well. The full version will not load with the limited memory on my phone.

I cannot log into the /wap site either. I am 100% certain that the entered username and password combination is correct. I always get the message that one or both is invalid.

I am using a Blackberry Tour 9630 Smartphone v4.7.1.61 (3G,CDMA).

Is it just me or is Tapatalk broken now since iOS4 was released ... the app will open but it never connects to the network, thus I cannot access APUG

ps - on iPhone btw

Yep, I have the latest version.

tested on my iphone 3G iOS4, worked fine. Maybe try rebooting your phone and see? Not sure what it could be, are you getting any errors? Thanks

I've rebooted many times Just spins and spins til it tells me it can't connect. Its cool, I'll figure it out, at least I know its just me now.

It might be worth checking whether your device capitalizes the first character of a field by default. (as mine does) Once I figured that out, I could connect to the WAP version without a problem.

A couple of days ago, I was browsing APUG's mobile website on my iPhone 3GS via mobile Safari. Then, for some reason, I clicked on the 'View Full Site' (or something similarly worded) option at the bottom of the page. Safari then took me to APUG's full site, which is what I'll see if I login to APUG on a desktop browser. Now, how do I go back to APUG's WAP version? It seems I can't. I've input www.apug.org/wap into my mobile Safari's URL bar & nothing happens. I've reloaded APUG's page on mobile Safari lots of time, and everytime it still opens up APUG's full site. A little help anyone?
