Has this replace the WAP site? That hasn't worked for me for a couple of weeks. No offense Sean, but this skin is miserable compared to how the WAP worked on my blackberry. Any help is appreciated. Leo

The wap style is coming back as soon as humanly possible. It did not like the new server and will require some config to the server. I've worked with the software developer of the wap to determine the next course of action. Hopefully not too much longer.

I get diverted to the mobile site every time I try to access the main site. I'm using the Opera web browser on my desktop PC. Does it wrongly assume I must be on a mobile device?

Has anyone noticed that in the search results list it says "Last post by Today..." on each entry?

The interface is nice though, I may ditch Tapatalk.

I'd like to see a 'mark forums read' option in the new posts page.

I really like this, it's so easy to read now on my iPhone.

Works very well for me. What I miss however is a button for invoking the forum tools like subscription to a discussion (and easy finding those threads afterwards). On the whole: kudos however.

Everything looks great on a Nook Color running Cyanogenmod 7 in both horizontal and vertical orientation.
Scales to the screen perfectly. (1024x600, 169 ppi)

Thanks for the feedback. I should be able to implement many of the suggestions.

There might be an issue with Opera users on mac, the system thinks that Opera version is a mobile browser. I'm looking into it. In the meantime you may want to set Opera to emulate IE headers. There is a setting to do this but I don't have Opera running at the moment.

Sean it was working but stopped. I don't know what's going on, I haven't changed anything on the phone.

Curt

If you saw it in the mobile version, then clicked on View Full Site, then the only way to have your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad see the site agin in mobile version would be to go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.

The reason that this is the case is due to the fact that you told your iOS device that you want to see Apug as Full site, it wont try again to make you see it in mobile version unless you clear out the Cookies and Data. Hope that helps. Andy

I think logging out of APUG and back in will get you back to mobile skin too.

I just did some work on it. I added links to "mark all posts read" "my posts" & "my threads". That might be a slight improvement.

Sean, PLEASE bring WAP back. It's been at least a month since i could enjoy apug like i always have and i'm in serious withdrawal. The new mobile platform just doesn't cut it on my evilberry. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated.

All the best,
Leo

It's not 100% RIP, it's just an ordeal to implement it on this server so it keeps getting put on the back burner. Currently just moved house, still unpacking, no internet connection yet (hopefully monday) and a growing backlog of helpdesk tickets. It would be good to get WAP back in the next two weeks.

Sean, on my iPhone it's a blessing, I use my smart phone more than my desktop these days and it's just perfect! Thanks

...so I went on my Dolphin Android browser, got the mobile site and wanted to check the full site too... so I pressed "Full Site" and got the full site, but then I couldn't go back to the mobile site... so I went into profile settings and hardwired the skin theme to "Mobile"... and since then I'm getting the "Mobile" theme on any browser I choose to log-in, be it mobile or desktop, and the "Full Site" link does not work, nor can I enter the profile settings through the mobile site. Basically, I'm stuck with mobile whatever I do - clearing the cache or the cookies did not work, logging in and out did not work, etc. - it seems that my profile preferences are saved somewhere on the server.

Any idea about this?

I've reset your style settings. I need to have an info page on the mobile site so when someone clicks to view the full site they are informed how to go back to mobile. In your case you switched your main vbulletin settings to mobile and since mobile style has no control panel you were unable to reset it back. It's good to see these scenarios so that I can plan a way to ensure members are more informed. Thanks
