Leon - nice to meet you, and for me, no apology needed - I hope things work out as well as they possibly can.

Hi Leon,

Obviously no apology needed. I'm really sorry that things turned out like they did. Take care of yourself, and make sure you're in good enough condition to take care of those around you.

All the best, mate.

Frank

Hi Leon

It was a great shame you had to go - but family comes first after all. It was good to meet up and have a chat over a pint or two. I thought the prints were great as well.

As for the rest - thanks everyone for making me feel very welcome. Special thanks for Tony and Jean for all those great locations. Truck loads of film going to the lab tomorrow - it would be great if I managed to get what I saw and visualised. I will post any that make the grade.

Thanks also to Dave who didn't get the tackle out - but did do the driving on the Saturday. I thought the print sharing and discussion along with a glass or nine was grand too.

What more can I say except - when and where's the next one?

Mark

What a fantastic weekend! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would like to thank everyone involved, particularly Tony who organised the event.

For me the gathering was firstly about meeting other like minded people and secondly about taking pictures; the latter I can do when ever the weather's just right, but the former seems to involve a lot effort these days.

I was pleased to find that there were a couple of fellow NW Apugers. A NW meet may be in the offing.

All my films are now developed and are hung to dry as I write this and with a bit of luck I should be able to get to produce a few prints over the next couple of days. Yes, the Minox worked fine, so it'll be interesting to see the results...

Ann and I would like to reiterate the good things said about Tony and Jean, it was an excellent weekend and as first timers thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I hope members will be in favour of a South West October meeting. We have recommended the Hartland Quay Hotel and maybe, if members are happy to travel so far (even for us already in Devon it's an 40odd mile journey)we'll endeavour to get a good rate. Look up the hotel
web page for some ideas on what the hotel looks like.

That sounds like a great location-this area has some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Devon and it's well worth the trek.

I'll have another go! Previous message was cut short by my cack handedness with a computer - I'm afraid we're not all Franks! So to continue, I developed the first film this morning and so-so in my book. We shall see. It was so great to meet such a nice group of proper photographers and to see some excellent pictures. Thank you all again for such a good time and look forward to the next get together wherever it is held. John and Ann Stredwick (aka pyrometol)

Hi All,

I've started a new thread (there was a url link here which no longer exists) for discussion of the Autumn Gathering.

John - Believe me, my cack-handedness (technical and otherwise) is the stuff of legend. Whilst I have in the main progressed to new and more difficult errors I remain a sentimental soul and revisit my earlier mistakes on a regular basis!

All the best,

Frank
