Thanks. It has been difficultSorry to hear about your loss. I remember your Dad. Didn’t know him but remember his posts. Losing a Dad is hard. Take care.
I'm in bowmanville. Thanks for letting me knowJeremy - so sorry for your loss. Your father's contributions here were much appreciated.
Where are you in Ontario? There may be members nearby who would be able to help you list what you have, and give advice on what to do with it.
By the way, you might find that this thread gets moved to another sub-forum, as this part of the site is for Feedback about how the site operates. Don't worry about the misplacement - if it is easily corrected by the moderators and you should have no problem finding it if it is moved.
Haha yea he was a dork. He once placed a 9v battery in a bucket of road salt. And just stared at me. I was like what. Lol what are you doingHi Jeremy

If you can't find a local appugger to help you ID some of the gear and have a cell phone handy
you might be able to post a few snapshots of different things you have in a thread and people here might be able to
post in the thread what exactly you have. There's a lot of knowledgable people here who know everything from obscure weird 19th century do-dads
to 1970s Nikon. I'm not sure where you would sell the stuff ( maybe here in the classifides? )
but that might require you to get a subscription ( pretty low cost ). There is a pretty active classifides section here
and it is less of a wild wild west show than Ebay ( but ebay will give you a wider net to cast ).
Best of luck
John
If your interested in anything that he has please message me your email and I will send some pictures.Jeremy - so sorry for your loss. Your father's contributions here were much appreciated.

Hi Jeremy - i met your dad many times here in Toronto he and I were going to make a film processor together ,,,, I am sorry to hear of his passing , your in Ottawa right? There is a photo school there that may be interested in some of his gear
Don't get your hopes up on sales as these days I cannot give away equipment.
If your interested in anything that he has please message me your email and I will send some pictures.Wow, that is very sad, a life-changing event. My condolences. As for his photographic equipment, there is a renewed interest in some types of film equipment. I realize it is a pain in the behind, but selling via eBay could find some suitable buyers. Could you make an inventory? Folks here could advise. For example
- Leica and Rollei equipment sell well.
- Semi-electronic era consumer-grade SLR cameras do not sell for much (but even that market may be slowly turning).
- Off-brand "kit" zoom lenses 80-210mm you can barely give away.
- 4x5" field cameras sell pretty well (especially Deardorff), but monorail models not very well
