Hey all,

I have a MacBook Pro that I would love to adorn with stickers that have the APUG logo, Kodak's logo, Freestyle's logo, Ilford's logo, etc (anything analog photography related).

Does anyone know if they exist, and if so where to buy them?

I have wanted the same thing but I have come to find that they only way to do it would be to create them yourself.

I would rather not have to make them myself, since an inkjet printed sticker won't look as good as a press-printed one with a glossy coating.

I PMed Simon, hopefully he'll get back to me with good news.

Wirelessly posted (BBBold: BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.167 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I've not found any yet. And for the same purpose. But not a Mac.

Would APUG, Kodak, Freestyle and these other companies allow?

I sometimes make stickers by laser printing them and then carefully putting a layer of clear packaging tape over the surface. Burnish that down good and tight and bubble free, then trim the outline. Used to use that to mark switches and connectors on test set-ups at work, it held up surprisingly well -- plus it's dirt cheap and you can always make more.

(And yes, it's probably some sort of violation to copy other company's logos and stick them on your stuff.)

I could make some. I am a graphic designer I have the tools and a guy that can make vinyl stickers. I don't think they would cost to much. I don't agree with sticking them all over your mac apple are gods and if god doesn't put them on nor should we...hahaha

Anyway let me know what you want and I can draw them up to your required size and get a price.

If I'm not mistaken, it's violation of copyright (or trademark perhaps) to reproduce these logos without permission.

I've PMed Simon of Ilford here on the board, hopefully he'll get back to me with good news if he finds any Ilford stickers. That's the one I'd like the most, along with Freestyle.

I could see Freestyle making the stickers and putting a few in each shipment that goes out, just like Apple does with their Apple stickers.

I used to get umpteen stickers and promo pieces from the photo reps who called into the lab I managed.
Perhaps if you are on good terms with your local lab, they may have some tucked away or perhaps get in touch with their reps to inquire for you.
I know we used to get sooooo many, I ended up stuffing them in a storage cupboard "just in case". If you're lucky, maybe your local lab has done the same?

can you get the vinyl
plasticy stuff to stick to a window and peel off ?

to remind you of your next change

it would be great to have one of them
5x7 with a notch code that has in big letters - FILM -
i have almost taped a piece of film to my window
with FILM written on it in marker,
but i am not fond of tape ...

Freestyle gives out magnets now with orders that are pretty fun to put on the fridge of a metal serface. I had one in my locker and I have them all on metal file cabinet.

Hello, I could do that, but not for any reasonable price, as it would have to be a run of labels to bring the cost down, a one off would be stupid money.

The only thing I can do it vinyl stickers that you would get for a car or bikes and stuff, it's vinyl cut out with a backing you stick it on what you want then pull the backing away.
