APUG Dry Plate Meetup? "Factory" tour, shoot some plates

Anyone see anything in the next 6 days to make this get postponed?

We’ll have snow Wed / Thurs, but the roads will be clear for the weekend.

Might change plans a bit about where to go for the photography field trip because of the snow (accessibility) but we’ll see.

Cheers,
Jason

it's called serendipity guys...just let it roll. of course the roads will be clear it's New Hampshire!

TBH Peter I’m not too worried. Just need to check out Potanipo which is where I figured we could go. Otherwise we can head to downtown Hollis which has a nice photogenic farming community look and feel.

...or we could shoot right outside your door...in the back yard.

If anyone is up there Friday night and wants to get together ..let me know. I've grabbed an airbnb for the night.

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere - I was following the thread and lost track of it for a bit. How did everybody make out - any pictures you can post? Wish I was closer but unfortunately Alberta is a little bit of a stretch.

Regards
Dave

Gosh...no, that's just down the road a piece! Photos taken are on an email thread between participants. There are some photos off the participants talking shop in the gallery. Everything went well...all learned alot

Thanks Drew - glad to hear it went well. Like you say - just down the road a piece. One of these days I'll take a road trip.

As I did not read anything about the outcome of that visit I thought it has been postponed to the March date.

As Drew mentioned the get together went great, and participants shared results in the private conversation we set up to do final coordinating. I think some were shared in media.

Here are the only photos I took of the day aside from Ektachrome sheets that I haven’t developed yet.

for anyone interested it was a great day with a steep learning curve. Jason was so kind in sharing his coating setup and how he coats the plates.
Jason was generous enough to coat 2 plates for each of us in any size...I blew one and the other was not exposed enough but I brought home 10 more and finally got 2 nice plates....
It was time well spent and as soon as more holders are available everyone can partake.

So I assume there won't be a repeat of this on the March 23 backup date?

It was a backup date!
I'm sure Jason will do this again..stay tuned to this channel
Best, Peter

No, in fact I'm glad the backup date didn't pan out because I'm headed to DC on travel for my *other* job on that day.

I will do this again. When it's warmer.

Cheers,
Jason
