I just bought a Durst Multistat on a local auction website.
I would expect it to make some sound, when it does what it is supposed to do, but it does not.
Probably not a very smart question, but how can I check if it works?

Regards,
Frank

This is the first time I learn about the existance of this Durst item...

Anyway, to my understanding there only would be sound in case of sparking. The pure built up of high static as well the ion-emitting should be silent.
What counts is the effect. Thus you should be able to watch an effect on static charged items.

Recently I bough an appliance with such module just to use that module apart, but still have not disassembled it. With appliances that got such module I overheard no sound from that so far.

I saw Tim Rudman using some strange object in a youtube video and when I saw this offered for sale, it all came together.
I could not find anything about it on the internet.

So it seems to be normal there is no sound. Time for some experiment with film.

Frank

The whole high voltage field has some strange phenomena. Think of high voltage AC overland lines that make noise in some climatic circumstance.
