Anyone own an Arca Swiss P0?

I just received an Arca Swiss P0 head and had a question.
Head locks nicely twisting the ring, except in a circular motion.
Once locked, I cant move it vertically or horizontally, but the head will twist around the ball, like if i were doing a pan movement, no matter how hard I lock it. Is this normal?
It is not the panning portion of it, this locks well with the seperate lock for the panning head, its just moving on the ball itself.

Hopefully this isn't too late for you.

I just received a P0 head today, and I've been checking mine out. On mine, it locks securely on the ball for all motion. So, based on my very limited experience, what you're seeing is not normal.

Were you able to resolve things on yours?

Yes I was, I had it replaced, new one does not have this issue.
