thanks for that. my jobo is just the magnet one and i dont think ill be converting it. just trying to figure out which tank to use at the moment haha!!

Robert, are you saying that neither the 1510 tank for 35mm nor the 1520 tank for 120 film gives development consistency or is it only the 1520tank for 120 film that has the consistency problem?

Provided that both tanks are correctly positioned on the rollers and rotated at the correct speed why should either tank give a consistency problem?

Thanks

For C41 the 1520 is not very good. You will get uneven development.

So Jobo sells products that do not work? This sound more like an Operator Assisted Failure, aka OAF. Usage: The OAF did this and the OAF did that.

Further you have to adjust the roller base for 1500 series too. They are smaller.

OMG! I would have to adjust my roller base! Heavens to Betsy, how dare they sell a product that requires adjustments!

just noticed i dont even HAVE a roller base with the cpe2 ive bought

So Jobo sells products that do not work?

The operating area with small tanks in rotery development is small and critiqal.

Yes, adjusting every time rollers between 1500, 2500 and 3000 systems including switching from elevator level (25XX / 30XX) is boring and after some changes the adapters will break.

So it's better to standarize on one system.
Especially when running for commercial development ......

yes, of course that's why I am trained by Jobo most experienced ATL/CPX specialist to know nothing about their systems.

do you need the roller base if only using a small drum for film dev, no printing?

where to get a jobo tank

you can get any jobo part from www.fotolaborservice.de. As far as processing film in 1500 tanks, I have been using this system for 15 years with perfect results using one shot Kodak chemistry

Leicht Rollers - WHERE TO BUY IN THE USA?

Where can I buy the Leicht Rollers: p/n 92167 in the US??

Thanks

Dan

Omega Satter should be able to deliver them or at least order them. However you could also ask fotolaborservice to put them in an airpack enveloppe to you.

In fact all companies specialized in analog photography and who have connection to Jobo will be able to order them

CPP JOBO and Leicht Rollers

Is it necessary to use the Leicht Rollers with the JOBO CPP and the 2500 tanks and reels for 120 and 35mm film development??

It depends how large your tank is. If you install the easy rollers on the elevator you can also leave them when using the unit WITH water-bath. So it's not necessary to exchange them.
To heavy torque on the motor will damage the unit on longer termin. Because spare parts are pretty expensive, it's a good idea to make this modification.
