I've been trying to access the Kowa 6 link on the "Medium Format Megasite" ( which had great info on many other med format cameras as well) web page and I can't link to it and many other pages as well.
Is anyone familiar with this site and have any info?
Thanks

ricksplace, try the using the links on the page you directed us to. Most get a 404 error.

Link works fine for me with IE6. Straight to the index page. You get a few pop-ups too though.
Not if you use Firefox  . Now has multiple pop-up/pop-unders designed to get around google's pop-up blocker, low-rent adverts and tracking cookies... Now there's a site that has gone seriously downhill since last I visited!

Cheers, Bob.

Certainly agree the site is a mess and ancient ("Table of Contents" approach).

Don't know whether to bookmark it or not. The articles look worthwhile but the thing hurts the eyes!

I get a load of 404 when I pick sections at random. The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine might be your best bet to get stuff from the site.

That site has a lot of excellent information but yes, it is very hard to read. A lot of the posts by Richard Knoppow are outstanding and valuable. I hope they aren't lost forever.

This site was down for a long time and finally returned recently in its current state. My pop-up blockers at home filters out almost all of the extraneous stuff. I don't try going there at work, due to the obnoxiousness of the ads. I don't have nearly as much problem reading it as I did with the Luminous Landscape's black background (when I used to try to read LL).

The old site also had a huge number of dead links. It apparently had not been updated in some time. It did have a lot of valuable information and I often went there to research subjects. I always found it to be a valuable resource. I haven't spent much time at the current incarnation. Hope it's not just a shell of the former site.

Evidently it's no longer hosted at MSU. Robert Monaghan still has his faculty stuff up there along with (I believe) astronomy stuff, but I would venture a guess that the traffic got to be too much for a University server. I miss it.

It looks like it's on a free Geocities-type server. I suspect the stuff is all there, but pages become inaccessible when the bandwidth limits are reached.
