I've got this Franka Solida I where the double exposure prevention can sometimes malfunction and prevent shots even after a wind-on. This happens when you use the normal shutter button on the body, but there's no such limit when you use a cable release. I've fired it a few hundred times, cleaned, and oiled it, that improved it some but it's still giving me trouble out in the field.

I notice that all it takes to trigger the cable release socket is you sticking a thin metal rod into it. I was thinking about finding a small rod like this and carrying it in my pocket for this camera.

But, are there any products which are essentially like a super-short, 1 inch or less cable release? Something that would essentially convert that socket into a shutter button. I know it wouldn't be a complicated machine - I can imagine it in 3 parts, the screw-threaded collar that goes into the socket, the metal rod/button "plunger", and a small spring to make it go back up after you let go. I could imagine a small enough one that you could fold the camera with it attached. Is such a product out there? Or, can I cut an existing cable release to make it. Or... any other ideas on how to bypass the double exposure prevention.

@Dan Daniel Ah thank you! It does seem to be a rare part.
