It looks like the condenser can be swapped for a larger one for MF. I assumed that was the enlarger's configuration, I looked in relevant BJP Almanacs but only the later enlarger is listed, imports prior to that(just after WWII) were heavily restricted into the UK.

Thanks for checking for me! I found a German language photography book in his darkroom, so I figure its owner was either German or bought it there.

So I won't be able to print mf negs without another condenser? I don't recall seeing another condenser lens at the estate sale, but then again I wasn't looking for one. Do you suppose I could just buy a larger condenser, or would it have to be specific to my enlarger? Could I replace the head entirely?

Lastly, I was looking at the lens and I realized it's a 25mm thread mount. Would I be able to mount M39 lenses onto it? The piece it's mounted to is fit for a M25 lens.

You could find a larger condenser, many Schneider lenses were small thread than 39mm originally, I think 25mm some of mine use adapters to 39mm.

However you'll find a better enlarger for peanuts, don't spend money on this old one. I've had enlargers from our local tip (dump) virtually brand new - I gave them to a couple of Irishmen who run workshops.

An LED head could be made very cheaply.

You're probably right. I didn't spend a lot of money on this one, and since I bought things like the easel and timer with it I already have what I need to set up another enlarger. I was just hoping to be able to print 6x9 negatives, especially with an enlarger so small (I don't have much space). I'll keep an eye out for another in my area.

I'll look into an LED head too. Thanks!

The only connection between the Exakt 66 (likely the head of the Exakt 35 is the same) and the Philips Tri-One I see is that the lamp(s) is located within a sphere.
A bit like an Ulbricht-sphere.
Look closely, I think you can appreciate that they use a disk, rather than the bulb itself, to project the light to the condensers. Therefore eliminating the cumbersome need of condenser enlargers to use a pure opal lamp of certain size. Also, the Tri-one projects colored light. So it is a continuously variable color condenser head.

Hi, I also have a Veigel exact 66, without light bulb.
What would be the ideal light bulb for this enlarger?
P.s. Get it....what

250W 230V E27 bulb-shaped enlarger lamp

Hi, I also have a Veigel exact 66, without light bulb.
The advice above is for the model Exact 66 OL

However there was also a Exact 66 PL, that took a different 250W lamp. Likely a point-light source, and with different socket.
