I find my new Kalt dial thermometer quite repeatable, although the original setting was off. I mean, really, guys. How many people who don't have a reference source take your word, uh, dial, as gospel truth and then get bad results?
The biggest difference between digital and analog types in use is that the latter will reach stasis in five or ten seconds maximum. Digitals have to climb the scale and it can be a minute for stasis, depending on the unit. I think this is due to design decisions whereby it only checks every X number of seconds, not continuously.
