Hello!

I absolutely love this film stock. There is plenty here and online about this stock so I don't want to go into the attributes of using it.

It is only available from Kodak in 400' or 1000' rolls. I am thinking about buying some rolls and wondering if anybody is interested in buying some or splitting a roll. I have worked with film all my life and am very comfortable spooling it down.

Just putting it out there to see if its possible.

FWIW, Film Photography Project also sells Dead Link Removed. It's not quite as economical as buying 400' direct from Kodak, but then again it's also not 400'.

I would be interested. How do you propose could be arranged?

Regards.

Cool!

Well once we get the numbers I would propose you guys send me money for 100' or however much you want and cost of postage/package. I order a batch from Kodak. Buy some cans/bags/cores or you provide your own if you prefer. I spool it down into 100' loads for your bulk loader.

How does this sound?

Thanks for sharing! I would be happy to buy direct from Kodak to guarantee fresh batches with emulsion and roll numbers.

I would be interested in 100' roll. I could provide my own core and can/box to spool it on and store it in, include a return prepaid mailer.

BTW glorious, sexy Double X isn't nearly as sexy or glorious when it costs more per 100' than anything but Tri-X! The original appeal of movie stock was that you could purchase short ends and recans for 10% of what 35mm still film costs. At parity it is much less appealing.

Any Idea about cost Albi? Not really that worried about price (film is expensive, period, so I deal with it), just curious.

if you look at the FPP link post #3 you will see that they are selling 100 ft for $89.99. Not a bad price and you are getting a Kodak film and not some second tier one.

It just about impossible to get short ends or recans of 5222 anymore. People like us have gobbled it all up!

For those who just want to try this film out before committing to a full bulk roll, UltraFineOnLine (Photo Warehouse) sells it in 36 exposure rolls for about $6 per.

Now I'm really confused. .so ultrafiltration 400 is harmon??
Harman do contract coating for a lot of different customers - some of them sell photographic products, while others make use of the coating technology for other purposes.
If I understand things correctly, Eastman Kodak is also doing non-photographic contract coating in Building 38.

I would also be interested but only if it were economical. Currently a roll of HP5+ is $59.00 shipped from B&H, if it is in that ballpark...most certainly.

I don't consider Ilford to be second tier and it's about 2/3 the price of reloaded movie film.

Hi Guys,

To answer a few questions here. Please private message me if you want to make an order.

1. 5222 is not a cheap/second tier film stock and is not only used when cheap short ends are available. It is used out of choice. I use all types of film and it is my personal favorite. I also bulk load HP5 but to be honest I burn through more 5222, I find it has more latitude but the choice is yours.
2. I am offering to break fresh rolls of this film stock into 100' loads.
3. $80 dollar for 100' load should cover my time for doing this. It works out at $64 per 100' before tax if you buy a 400' load from Kodak. Please provide a can and core if you have one. I am currently looking for more of these but they are proving very hard to find in small quantities. I do have a few.
4. You cover postage fees and any associated paypal charges.

Hope this helps.

like mentioned this is not an economical film and should not be compared to HP5. Its a premium Eastman Kodak film. Use HP5 if you prefer it.
