I'm in the market for a contact printing frame and would like to avoid the experience I've had with trying to find the "best" tripod. Still looking for that one. Freestyle offers contact printing frames at what seems to be a reasonable price. Has anyone here used them and if so, what was the experience like? Positive? Negative? Thank you, Bill Barber

They look exactly the much-loved frames Dead Link Removed makes. Before I got one from Doug, I asked around and was pointed his way pretty much every time. It's well designed and built like a brick sh*thouse.

Of course I can't absolutely guarantee that he builds them for Freestyle, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that we're talking about the same frame.

Thanks to both of you. There will be one under the Christmas tree this year with my name on it as the recipient. Bill Barber

Good for you...merry christmas.
Thought I'd mention that first I built one, and it (minus a slip or two) is very similar to the one I bought. For the time I put into it, I decided to buy a second one and fore-go the effort to build another, so it is a fair price for a nicely built frame.

I bought the Freestyle ultimate 10X12 frame and love it. Very well made and reasonably priced.

The glass area is 10X12 so that would be the max size. I use it for 8X10 contact prints and negative proof sheets.

The 10x12 print frame was designed for 8x10 printing and the 14x17 frame was designed fot 11x14 printing. As for the Doug Kennedy frame, sorry I know for a fact that he is not making them. This was a fun project to work on for Freestyle. And I am happy that the people that bought them like them.
