I have a question regarding the 4x5 glass carrier. Its been a long time since I 've used one. And the 4x5 film I have is still in the film holder waiting to develop. Is the area of the 4x5 Beseler carrier just a little smaller than a 4x5 neg? I want to be able to file it but before I do, just wanted to make sure that I can view the entire frame. I just want borders on my 4x5 like the way I print my 35mm and 120mm film.

Do I need to file it or will the openning be big enough? I have to wait til this weekend to develop my film so I figure I can start filing away soon.

The glass carrier doesn't have an opening. It's got glass-) I guess you could file the plain holder if you want but the glass one?

My english ain't so good

I wanted the glass one so I can print some panoramic eventually from 120 film. But I wanted to file out the METAL part, and put the glass back on. Silly.
