Why??
I'm getting the impression from your threads that you like to suffer:D.
I can think of a whole bunch of diffulties - film advance, film counter, too long a lens, viewfinder - and after all that you would still have a lower quality half frame camera.

might be easier to go to goodwill and get a 35mm slr
and put a 1/2 black out filter over the lens. use the rewind button
which will allow you to wind+ cock the shutter without advancing the film.
( my local salvation army had an off brand 35mm interchangable lens camera the other day for like $30 )

Plastic Cameras
If you want to learn how things work, I suggest buying a broken half-frame camera cheaply and learning how to fix it. Specialized tools like spanner and clamp wrenches may be called for, but these can often be home-made. Too bad plastic half-frame cameras like the Soviet Agat 18 aren't common in the US of A, but there seem to be plenty of Olympus Pen-series cameras around, and they can sometimes be had cheaply because they're suffering from decades of neglect.
