The 2018 Consumer Electronics Show opens tomorrow in Las Vagas and will run through Jan 12. Is anyone going? Last year Kodak had a booth with a story about Ektachrome but nothing else - no marketing materials and no giveaways. Wonder what a year of effort will bring. Looking for any info available.

A quick search came up with this YT video:

I assume the picture frames at the top of the video at 0:39 are new Ektachrome slides? I would imagine it is a big deal, I know the announcement in 2017 was. A shame he did did not cover it.

Did they show their new 8mm camera?

If the SCANZA could be an affordable 8mm scanner that would be great, I have some 8mm to scan. You can see the picture move around when you pull on the film. I had an other mini scanner like that, it was just a video CCD sensor with some lenses focused on film. It had quite a high megapixel count but had so much blur and compression that I threw it out.

Pico projectors are cool.

Like anything Kodak is showing on CES 2018, I hope it are good quality products that will get favorable reviews.

This video shows Kodak working on Ektachrome briefly:

Edit: It does not look like the SCANZA has an automatic feed system for 8mm, so either you have to do it manually or make an automated system yourself.

The Scanza looks like a re-branded Wolverine Scanner. From what I understand, not very good for scanning movies.

Very interesting. But no giveaways?
