I just found this section, and there have been no posts since April. Is it active? As a film user living in new mexico, I'm interested.

There are a number of people in your area here, and they seem active. Probably just nothing much going on in the summer... I've got some amazing petroglyph pictures from my last trip out your way, from a park that was going to be a state park but was not yet at the time. The ranger allowed me to wander at will and I was able to get access that no one was going to be able to get once the park became official. There are some absolutely amazing locations out there - I'd love to get back sometime.

There hasn't been a lot of activity on this forum and not a lot of planned events. There was an attempt to organize a get-together this spring, but I suspect it didn't materialize. There are quite a few APUGgers in NM, though, hopefully they're just too busy photographing our wonderful state to spend a lot of time online.

By way of introduction, I live in the Albuquerque area and shoot primarily medium format, with an occasional roll of 35mm thrown in for good measure. I work almost exclusively in B&W (usually Ilford FP4+ and HP5+). My favorite subjects include landscapes and historical sites/ruins/abandoned places. In the past, I've done some night photography and would love to get back into it, but it's really difficult to find the time to do everything I want to do. Right now I'm trying to clear a film backlog from a recent trip to the Midwest and to get a recently acquired enlarger up and running and installed. Beyond photography, my other interests include hiking, rockhounding and geocaching.

Glad you found us, hopefully some other NM APUG people will check in and say hi.

I'm in Los Alamos. I also am a medium format person who does a lot of landscapes and rocks. I'm a retired engineer. I do some hiking, but my age is beginning to catch up with me. I just moved to here a few months ago.

Hi...

lets plan something for the fall. maybe late september.

there are a few of us around.

I think Todd Stewart (oddstew) sold all of his gear and has taken up the violin.

Well, some of us are very quiet. I have been inactive the past four years, but am becoming active once again following retirement. And we appear to be neighbors. If you are interested in issues dealing with photochemistry, let me know.

I am. I have been an avid recipe collector for years. I just finished posting a reply saying that some experimentation and probably some developer tweaking is needed to determine if decent black and white prints could be made with black and white processing of color paper. I may do a bit of work on that. I also just started work with alternative processes - Van Dyke Brown initially, but there are also others of interest. I'm certainly interested in anything others are doing, and I would be happy to share recipes and observations.
