I looked at the MSDS and it has the percentage chems by weight, but just wondering if there is something that requires less of a shopping list. Thanks for the help up front.

Look, you can't necessarily go by the MSDS as a shopping list or a formula. Not every chemical used in the manufacture of the product needs to be listed. Some components are used in amounts too small to require listing, or may not need to be listed at all. Look at the MSDS for any liquid concentrate rapid fixer, developer, or stop bath. All of them, HC-110 and similar developers excepted, contain water which isn't listed on the MSDS. Try to make one without water. It's not happening. Nonetheless, these components may or may not be critical to the performance of the finished product. Without the formula, you just don't know.

That's probably where I'm going when the LD20 runs out. The price is right. After all my assertions that lith developer doesn't matter, I'm consistently getting more pleasing results from the Kodalith. I mixed my last bags of it yesterday! It just seems like it takes less tweaking to get a good pan of developer with the Kodalith.

Someone actually named their product "LD20"?! All I can think when I see that is "Lethal Dose 20 mg/kg"! :whistling:

My guess is for LD 20 is Lith Developer, 20 Litre concetrate size.

I have had good Lith results in the original meaning (ie Kodalith to high contrast negative) with D-85 mixed from scratch. It is A+B, but you need to find paraformaldehyde, which is increasingly tough to source in some locales. I originally tried using the equimolar substituting of Formalin, but it did not produce the same results.
